COVID Catch Up Grant
This year the school has been in receipt of £13,680 to support our pupils following the pandemic and the impacts it has had on the children. A further £9,765 is due to come to the school at the end of the academic year. The school has chosen to spend the money in the following way so far:
- EYFS - Additional teacher part time to support progress, especially in areas of Communication and Language, Reading and Writing.
- Year 1 and 2 - Additional Teaching Assistant hours to support progress in phonics.
- Year 3 and 4 - Additional Teaching Assistant hours to support progress in phonics and basic Maths skills
- Year 5 and 6 - Additional Higher Level Teaching Assistant hours to support progress in Reading, Writing and Maths, as well as booster sessions for Year 5 and 6 children, run by Class Teachers.
We have also funded training and support for children who have suffered with increased anxiety during the pandemic, and a resilience programme to support across the whole school.
Any money not spend in this academic year will be planned for spending in 2021-2022 to continue to support the needs of the pupils.
