Woodland Trust Saplings
We were lucky enough to receive 60 hedge tree saplings from the Woodland Trust to create a hedge at the top of our school field. On Saturday 5th November parents, grandparents, staff, children and villagers joined us to dig 60 holes ready for the children to plant the saplings. FOBS were there to provide much needed hot drinks and bacon rolls.
This week on Tuesday 15th November the School Council with a friend each, plus children that had helped us dig the holes, all went out and planted the tree saplings. The children were fantastic, working through the rain and mud to successfully plant all of our saplings. Thank you so much to everyone that helped us and also to parents for washing off all the mud!!
